One wonders what the dusky-hued Blogging Tory dr. roy thinks about his John McCain fixation right about now.

P.S. I apologize for using the phrases "dr. roy" and "thinks" in the same sentence. You'll get over it.

The Guardian piece on the debate said that women in the audience visibly flinched when he said that.

I honestly don't that McCain is a racist. I do, however, think that the stress of all of this and the pressure that he is under is getting to him. I don't blame him at all mind you (well, beyond the fact that I blame him for putting his own ambition ahead of what's good for the US), I can only imagine how stressful a presidential election must be. Couple that with his age, his medical history and the fact that (as he is want to point out) he was a POW and I think you have a nice stress depth charge.
