Oooh ...oooh ... Mr Kotter! Over here!

Blogging Tory "Plattytalk" presents us with what he sees as an obvious choice:

For those Canadians wondering who would be the best skipper at the helm, the best leader to navigate through what could be some rough economic waters ahead, let's look at two of the party leaders who are applying for the position.

Here's a thought, Platty -- if we need to make a choice, how about the one who didn't see the impending financial market meltdown, then responded to it by petulantly breaking his own "fixed election dates" law to throw us into a distracting federal election when we most needed steady and responsible leadership to weather the economic chaos all around us?

Was that the right answer, Platty? Do I win a prize?

AFTERSNARK: Platty is all over Stephen the Corpulent's academic credentials like Dick Evans on a "Gap for Kids" catalogue:

Stephen Harper

Qualifications

Graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Economics.

- Economics aims to explain how economies work and how economic agents interact. Economic analysis is applied throughout society, in business and finance.

This would be the same Stephen Harper who, while he would now be "the best leader to navigate through what could be some rough economic waters ahead," less than a month ago was happily reassuring us that everything was most economically excellent.

If I was Stephen Harper, I'd be demanding all my tuition fees back.
