Just keep telling yourself ...

... one day, Kathy Shaidle will be dead.

P.S. Obligatory cultural reference for people who are too stupid to figure out the context for themselves.

I do hope not soon. What shall we do when we don't have Shaidle to kick around any more?

Obligatory cultural reference, etc....

Amazing. That bit about the Davies street sex workers. Did she actually say that?

She thinks that, First Nations who had their children and heritage stolen from them = sex workers?

There'll always be another misery to take her place. I just hope our public media stops mistaking these racist harridans, their bile and their inability to put their sordid pasts and bad choices behind them as an insightful critique anyone else can benefit from being exposed to.

There haven't been a sex trade along Davie Street or the West End of Vancouver for around 25 years now. You'll find them around Mount Pleasant and along Kingsway now, until that area gets more gentrified and then they'll be pushed out to some other neighbourhood. But, as even Five Feet of Spare A Twonie For A Loonie admits, she doesn't get out or around much. Only when Dr. Roy (ewwwww!) calls.

In any case, Pickton's victims were in the Downtown Eastside, a different 'trade' altogether. And yes, quite likely the women of the DTES would have identified Pickton much sooner than did law enforcement. So what point did Five Feet of I've Always Depended On The Kindness of Strangers have there?

Good question, frank frink. I'm not actually sure what Five Feet of Acrimonious Dry Drunk was getting at there.
