Just because Dr. Roy is really, really stupid, and I'm lazy.

Yes, it's embarrassingly easy to hold up Dr. Roy as the right-wing retard that he is but, what the hell, sometimes low-hanging fruit can be fun:

FLQ terrorist shows no regret

... The good news is that this offensive reminder of a dark time has given Quebec society as a whole the chance to show that it has learned the lesson Lanctôt can't grasp.

His recent column about Cross in captivity was a reminiscence, almost nostalgic, for the good old days of exploding mailboxes, kidnapped dignitaries, murder and terror.

All right, then ... while we're on the topic of lack of remorse:

Abortion doctor's killer has no regrets
Action necessary, Hill writes in letter
Herald.com/August 22, 2003

Paul Hill, who is to be executed in two weeks for the shotgun slayings of an abortion doctor and his bodyguard in Pensacola, says he's at peace with himself and would probably kill again.

Hill, a one-time Presbyterian minister, has said God led him to shoot Dr. John Britton, 69, and his driver, James Barrett, 74, as they arrived at a Pensacola abortion clinic in July 1994.

''If I were put in similar circumstances, I believe I would act similarly,'' Hill said in a letter to The Herald from his Florida State Prison cell.

You'd think that, as a "doctor," poor Dr. Roy would understand that sharp objects cut both ways. Apparently not. Apparently, the good doctor is still grappling with how those URL linky things are supposed to work. After a couple years, you'd think he'd have figured it out by now.

The criminal Lanctôt aside, when I read teh Boggin' Torees, I find myself slipping into similarly comforting reverie.
