I saw that article on the weekend and figured SUZIE ALL CAPS would be the one to post about it.

Some of the comments over there are pretty funny.

"i am always amazed that homosexuals appropriate symbols like rainbows to promote a very dark and dangerous lifestyle. the behaviour was and still is devient and perverse.

Gee, is Scott Brison living a "dark and dangerous lifestyle"...?

This one's my favourite:

The argument hasn’t been conceived that can convince me homosexuality is normal. It is indefensible on the grounds of theism as all major monotheistic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) condemn it. Furthermore, it is indefensible in terms of evolutionary theory. It doesn’t matter how smart, fast, or strong you are, the species ain’t gonna survive if you go around planting your seed in the wrong garden.

LOL. Well, that seals it then.

Oh, by the way, so is the Egg McMuffin® and the "All You Can Eat Shrimp Week" at the Red Lobster.

Next.

God, I hate it when they attempt science. Doesn't this douche realise that if that were true, there'd be no homosexuals anymore?

They don't realize it and the won't - mainly because they seem to think that evolutionary theory is normative rather than descriptive. They keep trying to make it a moral theory, because they imagine they have the upper hand in that regard. Sadly, they are everywhere mistaken.

Well, quite so. It's an absurd proposition on its face, logically speaking, but also one that can be refuted on many other grounds as well.

Unfortunately, the fundies seem to have hopelessly mixed up sexuality and morality beyond repair.
