Fuck the (dead) Jews.

Oh, now, this is just adorable. Fresh off of Canada's Right-o-sphere using Holocaust survivors for their game of "Gotcha!", we have ... well, let's just let John explain it:

Republicans disrupt Lantos memorial service

Even the dead are political pawns to the Republicans (then again, we already knew that post-September 11). House Republicans, at the bidding of the Bush White House, are upset that House Democrats are voting on contempt citations for Harriet Miers and Josh Bolton today. So the House GOP members are disrupting proceedings in the House today, calling for "protest votes" and the like that eat up 15 minutes of the day at a time. Well, they just called one such protest vote in the middle of recently-deceased Democratic Congressman Tom Lantos' memorial service, which they certainly knew was taking place. This is akin to forcing people to leave a wake on purpose. The House Republicans and the White House couldn't wait for Lantos' service to be finished before forcing everyone back to the House floor to vote for something silly.

Lantos ... Lantos ... oh, right ... that Tom Lantos:

Lantos dies, House's sole Holocaust survivor

... Lantos was born in Budapest in 1928 and was 16 when the Nazis took the city in March 1944. Most Jews outside the Hungarian capital were sent to Auschwitz, while young Jewish men from Budapest were taken to forced labor camps.

Lantos was taken to a camp at Szob, a village about 40 miles from the capital, from which he escaped twice. The second time he made it to a safe house in Budapest...

Throughout his time in the House, Lantos, the lone Holocaust survivor to serve in Congress, was a strong supporter of Israel and Jewish issues.

In other news, conservatives would like to take this moment to tell you how much they love Jews. Well, OK, maybe not the dead ones, but those ones don't vote. So what's the big deal?

Looks like Fred has a new nic, now that Warren K has outed him a one Tom Robinson.

Oh, speaking of Warren the K and Nazis, have you guys seen this?

Warren just loves where the NP is going

*yawn*

Can't you people share your brain cells and come up with a new name? That's soooooo 2 years ago.

So who, might I ask, is "Francis Walsingham," and is there any reason to not ban his insipid, 6-year-old ass right now?

Thank you, Francis.

Francis, is that gum you're chewing? You know you're not supposed to be chewing gum here.
Please get rid of the gum, Francis, and sit down.

The real Francis Walsingham was William Cecil's replacement as spymaster to Queen Elizabeth I.

I think our Walsingham is a sockpuppet. Any guesses as to their real ID?

Meanwhile, speaking of the Holocaust, the Vancouver Public Library as part of its Freedom to Read program is featuring....a "prominent" Canadian Holocaust "revisionist". The free speech debate just gets weirder and weirder.

CC = Canadian Coward

BTW, your conservative love interest McMillan is posting for NP, and as I said, something none of your left-wing moronic posters or commentors will EVER be able to do.

That must REALLY get your goat...

Francis, dear - you have to use your indoor voice when you're talking to the grown-ups. Now why don't you run along and hump KKKate's leg with the rest of the flying monkeys, there's a good boy.

You're right, Francis ... I don't know that any of my regulars have ever penned a piece for the Post.

On the other hand, some of them write books. Now doesn't someone feel stupid?

Thanks for stopping by, Francis. It's been swell.

Is the cabal ginning up for an "attack Iran campaign" or something? They are running out of time, what with Barack HUSSEIN Osama-Bama on the ascendent lately.

Now available for order from Chapters/Indigo!

(As soon as the distributor gets their stock sorted out. Any day now, they claim...)

Btw, I love the CC = Canadian Coward thing, Frankie. It's simply delicious. Who would've thought you could take his initials and use them to devise a moniker that would be slightly different -- but also devastating!? Not me, surely. Golf claps all 'round, I think.

If Francis is so brave I'm sure he'll have no problem providing us with his real name and city of residence. Perhaps he'll post on a site that allows for the tracking IP #s too. Not being a coward and all.

Excuse me? I'm sure Francis would be the first one to tell you all about bravery for thee but not foe me ...

Um ... Francis? What part of "Thanks for stopping by" did you find overly challenging?

Sorry Francis, I already did my time at the National Post... And gee golly whiz.. It didn't take me until I was over 40 or 50 to get more than one column printed in that paper.

I also wrote for the Winnipeg Free Press, another National Daily!

Like I wrote before. Suck on that before you want to make generalizations about CC's regular crowd and their achievements.

PS - I don't consider writing for the Post an achievement anymore. When it was more glitzy, and paid over 40 cents a word for columns was a good time to write for them.

Now they only pay $150 per 1000 word column.

My guess is the two Ks did these articles on spec for the NP anyways.
