The madness of Queen Ann.

There's an amusing talking point running around the right-wing wankersphere recently -- that neo-con lunatic Ann Coulter is, well, a loon. Medically. Really. It's not her fault -- it's genetic. As prime example number one, we can check out another female, neo-con whack job, "the anchoress," for her take on things:

"Is Coulter missing a humanity gene?"

Ah, what an interesting strategy to get Coulter off the hook. See, she doesn't say these loathsome, hateful, vile things because she's, you know, loathsome or hateful or vile. No, she says them because she has a genetic flaw. In other words, it's not her fault after all.

And this is an important proposition since, while countless other right-wing nutjobs are just as loathsome and vile, every so often someone crosses that line of decency (if that's even possible any more in the wankersphere) and when that happens, those people must be separated from the herd. Such people must be publicly segregated so as not to bring (even more) shame and disrepute on the Right-o-sphere. Thus, their dear Ann is suddenly not their moral and philosophical leader any more. Rather, she's clinically nuts, which means she can be dismissed before she can do any more damage to the cause.

It is important, however, to leave the door open, as the anchoress writes (all emphasis added):

She’s never been my cuppa, as I have written before. While she is whip-smart, I’ve never liked her because Coulter tends to overdo - she routinely loses sight of boundaries of common decency. She goes too far and discredits herself and the values she says she espouses.

Ah ... so while one can savage Coulter for her lack of humanity, one still has to say something nice about her, or one might not be invited to her cocktail parties anymore. Not surprisingly, Captain "Special Ed" tags along on that talking point, as the anchoress writes:

Ed Morrissey, who says he normally likes Coulter has rightly called her the mirror image of Ted Rall and suggests she make a real apology and retract her statements. That would be a start.

OK, so here we see Captain Ed's strategy. First, he "normally likes Coulter" (despite the fact that she's been a frothing hate factory for years, Captain Ed has apparently not had any philosophical objections until now -- how tolerant of him).

But even with her latest lunacy, even Captain Ed is willing to reconsider as long as Coulter issues "a real apology" and retracts her statements. Well, isn't that special?

See, most of these folks have never had a problem with Coulter all this time but, finally, finally, when she crosses that line and offends some of her fellow conservatives, well, suddenly, she's not that much of a fellow traveller anymore, is she? No, now she's genetically damaged so one can't hold her responsible and, for God's sake, one certainly shouldn't think that any of her long-time groupies should be held accountable for their praise and unbounded adulation all this time. Unless, of course, Coulter apologizes. And means it. Then it's all cool and it's beer and spritzers at Ann's place next weekend.

P.S. The anchoress also reports that one Rick Moran is also very, very cross with Ann for her recent shenanigans. Luckily, TBogg explains just how cross. That is, not much.

So the new talking point is that it is politcally incorrect to ubraid Ann because "she was born that way". The right also wants people to show tolerance for the poor dear. And here I was thinking that they hated those ideas. Silly me.

Does this mean that the doctrine of infallibility applies to Ann now?

The mirror image of Ted Rall? WTF

I thought it went without saying.

I mean, don't you actually have to be crazy to hold some of those neo-con beliefs?

Oh my. The hate-spewing leftards are upset with Liberal Slayer Ann Coulter for accurately pointing out how liberals can't debate the issues (as we all have seen countless times on the Fox News Channel), so they put forth tragic figures (Jersey Girls, Max Cleland, Cindy Sheehan, etc) to push their radical leftwing agenda--and you cannot question these people because they lost a loved one during the 9-11 attack, lost a loved one during Operation Iraqi Freedom, or lost a limb during a military accident).

And once again, as we have seen by the hysterical left in the last couple of days, Coulter is correct. I bet that the radical left would just love to throw pies at her again. That seems to be the only level of political discourse for the moonbats.

You're hilarious, anonymous. You actually used 'Ann Coulter' and 'debate' in the same sentence.

Go on, tell us another one.

Hey anonymous (if that is your real name), why don't you show us how dumb we are and actually debate one of Ann's points. How about this one from her new book:

"As a matter of faith, liberals believe: Darwinism is a fact, people are born gay...If people are born gay, why hasn’t Darwinism weeded out people who don’t reproduce?"

Tell us why she is correct. Or, admit you are punching out of your weight class and move along.
