Heh heh ... Did I call it, or did I call it?

I'm sure someone's already thought of this but it's not clear why Canadian beef producers aren't suing under NAFTA's Chapter 11 for damages incurred by the current American ban on Canadian beef.

And following a link from sean incognito to here, we have, on March 16:

Canadian ranchers took legal action against the United States on Wednesday, seeking damages of up to C$1 billion ($830 million) over a trade ban on cattle, in place since 2003 because of mad cow disease.

A group called the Canadian Cattlemen for Fair Trade filed a notice of arbitration in Washington under Chapter 11 of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
